Is it still enjoyable on current generation hardware?, yes immensely so, but I cannot help but yearn for the arrival of my next-generation console next month. ![]() The PC port does not suffer from excessive loading screens, especially when using a mid-range or better gaming PC, and PS4 Pro and Xbox One X fair slightly better now the game-breaking bug that rendered Watch Dogs: Legion unplayable after 6-8 hours in on the Xbox One X has been addressed, but Watch Dogs: Legion still feels like fitting a size 8 foot into a size 5 shoe on current generation hardware. Watch Dogs: Legion is a mechanically impressive game, and I am really enjoying it on the Playstation 4, but I cannot help but notice it feels constrained, I encountered over 25 loading screens during my first 90 minutes of play, including four loading screens during a three minute period, it felt jarring and a constant reminder that next-generation hardware would not have these problems. Watch Dogs: Legion is an excellent game and delivers on all of Ubisoft’s promises, but is it worth playing on current generation hardware? Is Watch Dogs: Legion, Worth Playing at Launch? Watch Dogs: Legion feels like a next-gen game trapped and constrained by current generation hardware. ![]()
